Terms of Service & End-User License Agreement
Effective October 31, 2026
These terms govern your use of PlateWize's website and restaurant management services (the “Service”). “PlateWize,” “we,” and “us” mean the operator of the Service under the PlateWize name. Contact us at support@platewize.com with questions about these terms.
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you act for a restaurant or other organization, you represent that you are authorized to do so. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Accounts and authorized use
The Service is intended for adult business users. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access. Your organization is responsible for managing its staff permissions and for the information its authorized users provide.
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the Service for your organization's business purposes while your account is active. You may not resell access, bypass access controls, interfere with the Service, introduce malicious code, or use it unlawfully. Do not access another organization's information without authorization.
2. Your content and permissions
You retain your rights in documents, invoices, recipes, menus, images, and other content you submit. You grant us permission to host, copy, process, transmit, and display that content as needed to provide, secure, and support the Service for you, including through service providers described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to upload content, forward emails, connect accounts, and provide personal information about staff, suppliers, or other people. Only submit information relevant to your use of the Service. Do not submit payment-card security codes, passwords for unrelated services, or sensitive personal information that the Service does not need.
3. AI processing and review of results
PlateWize uses automated and AI-assisted processing to read documents, suggest mappings, estimate costs, and help with restaurant workflows. Relevant documents and inputs may be sent to AI service providers. Results can be incomplete or incorrect, including quantities, units, prices, ingredients, and allergen information.
You must review results against original records before relying on them. The Service does not replace accounting, tax, legal, nutrition, or food-safety advice. You remain responsible for purchasing, pricing, accounting, allergen disclosures, and other business decisions. Keep your own authoritative business records.
4. Connected services
Where an integration is available and you choose to connect it, you authorize PlateWize to access and process the information required for the disclosed functionality within the permissions you grant. Only connect accounts you are authorized to use. A mention of an integration in these terms does not mean it is currently available.
Connected services may provide records and documents for your organization's authorized use. External services have their own terms and privacy policies. PlateWize operates independently of those providers and does not process connected-service information on their behalf. External providers may change or discontinue access, and imported information may be incomplete or delayed.
You can revoke access through the connected provider's controls or contact us for help. Revoking a connection stops future access; contact us separately to request deletion of previously imported records, subject to applicable law and the Privacy Policy. We will stop processing connected-service information when the applicable authorization is withdrawn, except where retention or processing is legally required.
5. Early access, availability, and fees
Early-access features may change, contain errors, or be withdrawn. We may approve or decline access requests and set reasonable usage limits. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every feature will remain available.
Any paid plan, price, billing interval, and cancellation terms will be presented before you purchase it. These terms alone do not authorize a charge or enroll you in a paid subscription.
6. Privacy and security
Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle information. We use safeguards designed to protect the Service, but no system is completely secure. Contact support@platewize.com promptly about a suspected security issue.
7. Ownership of the Service
PlateWize and its licensors retain rights in the Service's software, design, and branding. These terms do not transfer ownership of the Service to you or ownership of your content to us. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
8. Suspension and ending use
You may stop using the Service at any time and request account closure by email. We may suspend or end access for misuse, a material breach of these terms, security risks, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Service. Where practicable, we will give notice and an opportunity to address the issue; immediate action may be necessary to protect people or systems.
Contact us before closing your account if you need assistance obtaining your records. Content retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature should continue, including ownership, outstanding payment obligations, and liability limitations, survive termination.
9. Disclaimers and limits
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI outputs, cost estimates, or imported information.
To the extent permitted by law, PlateWize is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, including lost profits or business opportunities. Our total liability arising from the Service or these terms is limited to the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or liabilities and rights that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will post the revised terms and effective date here and provide additional notice of material changes through the Service or email where appropriate or required by law. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to revised terms, stop using the Service.
